When it came his turn to host Saturday Night Live, Shane Gillis didn’t waste any time in announcing his dismissal from the NBC late-night comedy program.
Days after being revealed as a new cast member for Season 45, Gillis was let go from the show due to previously unreleased video of him making derogatory remarks against Asian people.
“It’s likely that most of you are unaware of who I am,” Gillis stated during his monologue. “I got let go from this show quite some time ago. Avoid researching that. Please don’t Google who I am if you don’t already know. Don’t even worry about it; everything is OK.
“Honestly, I probably shouldn’t be up here,” Gillis said. I should be coaching high school football and at home.”

The comic made a joke about how his desire to perform stand-up was “biologically clocking out.” Gillis likened this to the moment a woman realizes her “biological clock is ticking” and is reminded to start a family by a youngster they see. In his instance, he observes kids and believes they have the ability to be football coaches.

Gillis kept making jokes about his family, claiming that he “was gay for my mom” and mentioning how he and his mother used to be close until “the first time I whacked off.” He continued by making jokes about the Down syndrome members of his family.
Gillis conceded, “Look, I don’t have any material that can be on TV,” in reference to his humor. This location has excellent lighting as well. I see that it’s not fun for anyone. I’ve never felt more anxious than I do now.

  1. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into
starting my own weblog and was curious what all is
required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog
like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web
smart so I’m not 100% sure. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Appreciate it
